Looking back!
We wrote a Land Acknowledgement this week and started to learn about Treaty 7. We went outside to sketch the land around our school and created water colour paintings to go with our Land Acknowledgement.
In Math we've started Statistics. We learned how to write a good survey question and we collected data from our classmates. We reviewed how to use tally marks too. On Thursday we had our Skill Practice Day. We practiced our times tables and then reviewed grade 3 addition with regrouping. Some students have made goals to work on their addition and times tables at home.

Thank you for only sending water to drink in the classroom. Students are welcome to enjoy other drinks in the lunch room.
We've logged into our Google Classroom and joined EPIC books! If students wish to bring a pair of headphones for classroom use please send them in a labelled bag. They can be kept in backpacks or stored in the classroom. A few students still need to return their Technology Contracts.
Alien Inline skating forms have come home. Please return yours to school by Friday, September 26. We will be skating on October 1-3, 6-10 and 14.
We're going on a Community Walk to choose a sit spot and to mark the fall equinox which is happening on September 22. Please dress for the weather!
Next Friday, September 26 is Orange Shirt Day. We have started to learn about truth and reconciliation. Students are invited to wear and orange shirt that day.
